I tend to agree with Arnold. I noticed that I also was a little bitter when Barack made a few of his pledges last night. I get bitter too when McCain does his pledging as well. I think that we are much better off working within the constraints. Problem solving is a function of working within boundaries, without boundaries it is impossible to find a solution; too much choice.
The fundamental...

Cubs Fans vs Sox Fans
“You go to Wrigley Field, you have a beer, beautiful people up there,” Obama said in an ESPN interview. “People aren’t watching the game. It’s not serious. White Sox, that’s baseball. South Side.”
-Barack Obama
As a Cubs fan I totally get this comment and as a son of Winnetka I’ve lived this comment. Still, I wish it weren’t the case.

Upending Budweiser and Data Marketplaces
Just got back to NYC from an amazing week in upstate NY (Poolville to be exact). It was a mix of relaxation and business and so I enter this final week of August thinking about how we can fulfill our destiny and build our data marketplace. I am also thinking about Umair Haque and how to build a business that can redefine industrial beer production in the US. I think that Budweiser and Miller are...

My wife always talks about her love of the handwritten thank you note and I must admit to thinking she is absolutely right, but not moving quite as quickly to actually write the note. It seems Seth and my wife are on the same page.

Video Response: A Manifesto for the Next Industrial Revolution - Umair Haque
I am not a huge fan of online video, I rarely watch, but for those who don’t read Umair Haque, this is probably the easiest way for you to consume his rather profound ideas.
Strategic change will be wrenching to our economy, but it will also create lots of opportunity. By the way, in terms of fighting back against...

Testing Zemanta
So I just updated my Firefox browser with the Zemanta plug in. I am conflicted as to how useful it will be for my tumblogging, but it is really important to me that I be able to reblog all of my stuff here to my main blog at You, Me and My API at the moment this is not entirely clear to me how this reblogging works and the suggestions are not blowing me away.

I think this video is poor strategy. Obama is wrong in trying to paint McCain with the same celebrity brush that McCain is painting Obama with; not an altogether creative strategy. Fact of the matter is that they are both celebrity politicians, so these respective moves just seem to wash eachother out. I prefer capitalizing on this opportunity with a strategy espoused by my favorite ;) liberal...

Updated Theme
My beautiful wife preferred my brother’s Tumblr design over mine. As usual Garrett has kept it simple and as a consequence he was triumphant in this design throwdown. However, I am stubborn and won’t just roll over and copy my brother. No I’ve decided to experiment with different themes till I get it right.

“Alternatively, I might put my money on a Viacom acquisition: after a decade of dumbing down nearly all of its once awesome assets, teenagers are increasingly lamed out by me-too value propositions. But they’re hanging out on Facebook in droves.”
